  • Support production teams by addressing process and product concerns, driving improvements and non-recurrence
  • Conduct product and process audits in line with IATF16949 standards, ensuring compliance and readiness for third-party audits
  • Act as a key liaison with customers, fostering strong relationships and ensuring adherence to their quality processes

What You Will Bring as Quality Engineer;

  • Proven experience in quality concern resolution, including 8D methodology
  • Familiarity with the 5 core tools of quality management
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, particularly machining, assembly, and testing

Do you have Mechanical Stress Engineer experience, and are you seeking a new job in Rugeley? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a collaborative company recruit a Mechanical Stress Engineer, and this full-time role comes with an excellent salary and benefits package.

As a Mechanical Stress Engineer, you will work within the engine design team, being responsible for mechanical assessments of aircraft and engine components to ensure that they meet the required life and integrity requirements. You will also create mechanical models to analyse the aircraft components and sub-systems using analysis methods ranging from initial scoping calculations in mathcad to 2D and 3D FEA models.

In your first few weeks in this Stress Engineer role, you can expect to:

  • Build and analyse mechanical models of static and rotating components using 2D
  • Work closely with design team to optimise the performance and integrity of mechanical components across the platform
  • Undertake technical assessment of the component life and integrity through the design phase, into testing, verification, validation, certification and in-service support

To apply for this Mechanical Stress Engineer role, you will need a BSc/BEng in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 5+ years of relevant mechanical analysis experience. You will also require the following:

  • FEA mechanical analysis (ANSYS) experience
  • Good understanding of transient thermal loads in hot components and load interactions
  • Experience in rig testing and verification (desirable)

  • Utilisation of engine diagnostic scan tools for fault finding and repair

What You Will Bring as Powertrain Test Technician:

  • Hands-on experience with engines including, engine and component strip, repair, and assembly
  • NVQ Level 3 in vehicle engineering or a completed apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical orientated discipline
  • Profound knowledge of internal combustion engines operating principles
  • Knowledge of test bed operation and test bed control systems
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
