A position has arisen within the Service department for an office-based coordinator supporting a section of the breakdown team.
Job Description:
This is a key role within the Service department, supporting customers and field-based breakdown engineers across a regional area, arranging site visits to resolve machine breakdowns.
This office-based role requires strong organisation, communication, and coordination skills. Responsibilities include scheduling engineers, discussing faults and job expectations with engineers and customers, and invoicing completed work.
The successful candidate will develop machine tool knowledge and become a key member of the UIF Service Co-ordination team.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will have a positive, proactive attitude, strong problem-solving ability, and be able to work independently or as part of a team. Flexibility is essential to meet team targets and support engineers and colleagues when required.
- Confident communicating at manager/director level
- Knowledge of machine build processes and structure
- Computer literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, scheduling systems)
- Experience in planning and coordinating work
- Able to manage customer and engineer expectations
- Strong telephone and communication skills
- Able to understand technical written reports
The Reward

Job Description
- Setting & operating Studer cylindrical/universal grinding machines.
- Producing a wide & varied range of high tolerance parts which are used in the manufacture of Mazak CNC machines.
- Understand Fanuc CNC controls & be able to program/edit/improve existing & new parts.
- Work within a team of fellow engineers to strict health & safety guidelines & rules.
- Play your part in promoting positive culture amongst staff by engaging in H&S improvements & kaizen initiatives.
Essential Criteria
- Have a solid understanding of cylindrical & universal grinding.
- Have CNC grinding knowledge.
- Have experience & can safely operate & set CNC controls.

We are currently recruiting for a CMM Programmer/Inspector within the Machining-Quality Department. After initial training this role will be working a Double Day Shift pattern in the Inspection Room.
The role
- Program & operate our Zeiss Prismo CMM inspection machines.
- Complete independent Diametric & Geometric checks on both WIP & finished parts using the Zeiss CMM machines in the inspection room.
- Communicate any discrepancies with operators & team leaders.
- Recheck adjusted work for compliance to drawing & SOP requirements.
- Read & interpret Zeiss Calypso results & relate to machining activities.
- Collate data to liaise & aid in improvement activities with Machining Process Engineers.
The person
- Quality & productivity focused, confident, flexible & highly motivated.
- Good communication skills are essential.
- Adept in Problem Solving.
- Good skills in mathematics, specifically trigonometry.
Essential Criteria
- Experience of operating CMM machines.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer with a solid background in electrical control systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, maintaining, troubleshooting and optimising machine tool electrical retrofits. A strong understanding of electrical systems, automation processes, and relevant standards is essential for this role. The work is carried out in close liaison with Mechanical and PLC Engineers.
Job Description
- Develop, test and maintain electrical systems for new and existing equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in electrical systems and associated control panels
- Design, install and commission electrical systems for Mazak machines and automation equipment
- Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Ensure all systems meet electrical standards and safety regulations (eg. IEC, NEC, CE)
- Provide regular maintenance and support for machine tool electrical systems and electrical control systems
- Perform system testing, calibration and validation to ensure optimal performance
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including electrical schematics and operational procedures
- Ensure that all electrical installations comply with relevant health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with safety teams to implement machine safety systems and ensure compliance with ISO and other safety standards
- Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and control issues across the site.
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, automation or related field (or equivalent experience)
- A minimum 3-5 years' experience in electrical design and troubleshooting, with a strong experience in designing, implementing and maintaining of electrical control systems.
- Technical knowledge of electrical control systems, including panel wiring, motor control and power distribution.
- Familiarity with IEC, NEC and other relevant electrical standards.
- Hands on experience with automation and control systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of other Mitsubishi electrical systems.
Desirable Criteria
- Basic understanding of PLCs
- Zuken / E3 or similar software experience
- Knowledge of PLM systems such as Windchill
- Strong problem solving skills and analytical thinking
- Electrical certifications (eg. 18 th Edition, CompEx or equivalent) are highly desirable
