As a Health and Safety Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of safety, health, environment, and quality standards at a state-of-the-art Technology & Development Centre. What You Will Do:
- Implement and adapt corporate SHEQ policies and procedures to meet UK regulatory requirements and local operational needs.
- Develop and maintain risk assessments and safe systems of work, ensuring compliance for both on-site and off-site activities.
- Act as a trusted adviser and coach to the site team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in SHEQ performance.
- Coordinate and monitor contractor activities, ensuring safe execution of work both on-site and off-site.
- Maintain and update the site emergency plan, organising exercises and follow-up actions to ensure readiness.
- Organise and deliver engaging training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programmes, keeping training records up to date.
What You Will Bring:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a SHEQ-related field, with at least three years of relevant experience.
- A recognised qualification such as a NEBOSH Certificate in health, safety, or environment.
- Proven experience in implementing and maintaining SHEQ procedures in alignment with UK legislation.
- Familiarity with engineering safety, including high-pressure systems, technical drawings, and flow diagrams.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to inspire a positive safety culture through coaching and collaboration.
