  • This is a 4-day a week role working ideally Mon-Thurs 9-5.15 with Fridays off, totalling 30 hours a week.
  • It would be an ideal opportunity for someone looking for part time hours or a graduate looking to gain valuable experience with a global organisation.
  • This role will be a short-term temporary assignment up to 3 months.  With an ASAP start.  However, for the right person as a large employer in the local area, there may be potential for a permanent role.

What You Will Do:

- Coordinate all our product approvals across diverse product categories and brands.

- Collaborate with design teams to ensure engineering build samples are prepared and available.

- Maintain technical files, ensuring all approvals certificates and reports are version-controlled and stored within data management systems.

- Manage and organise relevant quality documentation to ensure compliance.

- Review product samples and perform basic quality checks to maintain high standards.

- Respond quickly to incoming emails chasing for a progress update

What You Will Bring:

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to manage technical files and approvals.

NEW MACHINE SETTER OPERATOR VACANCIES IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE!!!

Do you have previous Machine Setting, Machine Operating and/or Setting Operating experience within a production facility, and are you looking for a new permanent role to start ASAP?

We are proud to be working with a leading manufacturing business in Telford to help them recruit up to 5 Machine Setter Operators on a straight permanent basis, the starting salary is just under £34,000 per annum (with a pay review being discussed internally).

This role will be working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12 hour days and nights shifts) and the hiring manager is looking for someone that lives within a 20-25 mile radius of Telford, Shropshire.

The hiring manager is looking to invite candidates in on site to complete an initial assessment, before having a sit down with the Production Manager and having a full factory tour to see what the job would entail day to day.

These roles would be a great fit for someone who has previously worked as a Production Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Technical Operator, Process Operator, Skilled Machine Operator, Machine Setter or Skilled Machinist within a production/manufacturing facility.

What You Will Do:

  • Show proficiency in timely machine setup, minimising downtime, and maximising efficiency through collaborative teamwork
  • Operate and closely monitor state-of-the-art machinery to ensure seamless and efficient production runs
  • Demonstrate effective problem solving with the ability to identify the root cause using available tools such as the process fault tree
  • Carry out routine maintenance and precision cleaning of machinery to ensure optimal performance
  • Maintain accurate records of production output and downtime, collaborating with your team to achieve and surpass output targets
  • Conduct thorough pre-use checks of machinery, promptly identifying and addressing any potential issues or faults, showcasing your technical ability
  • Undertake regular quality assessments of finished products, ensuring they consistently adhere to our high standards

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production based role
  • Previous experience within the FMCG sector - PREFERRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

Overview:

We are currently recruiting for a skilled mechanical technician who has experience in all aspects of mechanical assembly activities within the integration of advanced technology in particular automated and process systems. Suitable candidates must have assembly, metrology, adjustment and blueprint interpretation experience.

The role is an exciting role, that is carrying out tasks related to the production process under the supervision of the Assembly Manager or Section Manager and in accordance with the standards and procedures established by the Group's Quality Policy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify in advance the materials, resources and information necessary to carry out the assembly.
  • Obtain the identified items to perform the assembly according to the established guidelines and procedures.
  • Carry out the assigned assembly tasks within the required time and quality standards, reporting to the manager any issues identified that could hinder its execution.
  • Understand the needs of the client (both external and internal) and work proactively to fulfill the commitments made.
  • Read and understand documentation and blueprints for assembly.
  • Comply with the management system's procedures and instructions related to the activity being performed.
  • Resolve necessary incidents in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Report incidents and progress of assemblies objectively and well-documented (both at the client's site and in-plant) in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Rigorous compliance with safety and health guidelines and protocols
  • Use of 5S tools.
  • Be responsible for the care, proper use and handling of the equipment and tools at your disposal.
  • Use measuring equipment correctly and have a correct interpretation of the measurements.
  • Properly use assembly tools and resources, complying with usage instructions and the training received.
  • Proactively propose new ideas to improve both assembly processes and the product.
  • Explore new solutions for existing problems by making improvement proposals.
  • Actively collaborate in the transfer of knowledge to other people within the organization.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Vocational Training / HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven track record working with laser tracker and/or interferometry
  • Knowledge of electrical / pneumatic systems
  • Working with Tightening bolted joints INS 75032, and measuring straightness, positioning, and angularity with high precision

Working from home, but based out of their office in Manchester, you will be responsible for sales, which will be largely in the UK, but can be overseas. RESPONSIBILITIES

-    Strong technical skills and familiarity with software products such as CMMS and RCM tools

-    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach

-    Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific subject would be an asset

-    Proven ability to build relationships and close deals

-    Being able to work on your own with a strong drive level.
