We have an opportunity to join a company based in Melton Mowbray; working on a permanent basis on a Panama shift pattern (days and nights).

The Role

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Completing mechanical breakdown repairs across the site
  • Carrying out repairs and health and safety checks to maintain high safety standards
  • Reporting and responding to dangerous or unsafe machinery to provide corrective actions
  • Implementing planned maintenance and repairs to ensure the continuous operation of all production plant

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and experience:

  • Engineering education/qualification/s
  • Proficient in fault-finding and repairing gearboxes, drives, and other production equipment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Excellent IT skills and the ability to understand technical drawings

Your Mission

As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring manufacturing equipment and machinery perform at their peak. Your expertise will keep production running smoothly, minimising downtime and maximising efficiency. Partnering closely with the Maintenance Lead, you’ll take charge of maintaining, optimising, and innovating to elevate manufacturing processes.

Your Impact

Keep Things Running

  • Lead routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on a range of advanced machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize disruptions.
  • Quickly diagnose malfunctions and execute effective repairs to keep us on track.

Preventive Maintenance Program

  • Proactively perform and improve PPM to ensure all equipment operates flawlessly.
  • Monitor machinery health to identify and address potential issues before they arise.

Installation & Innovation

  • Collaborate on the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring it’s safe and operational from day one.
  • Bring fresh ideas to the table, spotting opportunities to improve equipment performance, reliability, and safety.

Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Champion initiatives that take PPM and equipment reliability to the next level.
  • Investigate root causes of issues, implement corrective actions, and share insights to prevent reoccurrences.

Safety & Compliance First

  • Make safety your top priority by adhering to regulations and promoting best practices.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment history for transparency and accountability.

Be a Technical Partner

Streamline Inventory
