Jonathan Lee is helping an energy company based in the Newton Abbott area with the hiring of a SQL Systems Analyst. This is a support focused role where you will also be helping with the dleivery of projects to help maintain and enhance the ERP system

As the SQL Systems Analyst, you will be part of the IT running, maintaining and upgrading the Infor based ERP system across the business. You will also maintain the other software systems used in the business. The role will be to best try and understand the fundamentals of the core Business Systems and the likely impact they may have on people and processes

To give you an idea of how this role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

 

  • Take on projects that will involve balancing day to day support with project objectives.
  • To support the day to day running of reporting systems and Business Intelligence.
  • Understand the fundamentals of the core Business Systems and the likely impact they may have on people and processes.
  • Able to work and cooperate within a small team to achieve the team and company objectives. To prioritise work inside the scope of the department working practices.
  • Liaising and being able to communicate to internal colleagues and external suppliers. Demonstrate a willingness to consider new ways of approaching solutions.

Applicsnts to the role are expected to have knowledge and experience with the below:

  • SQL Server / SSRS, crystal reports
  • Analyse and solve and seek solutions to problems in an efficient manor while keeping to the processes and procedures of the department
  • Take on projects that will involve balancing day-to-day support with project objectives
  • Support the day to day running of reporting systems and Business Intelligence.

To apply for this role, you will need to be familiar with visualised environments and their operation and maintenance. You will also require extensive knowledge of the Microsoft office family of software and their backend server technology. In addition, you should be able to analyse and solve and seek solutions to problems in an efficient manor, while keeping to the processes and procedures of the department.

Title: Project Design Engineer

Overview:

We are currently recruiting for a Project Design Engineer, to work for our client at their site in Kidderminster, this is an exciting opportunity that has arisen and would suit someone who is a self-motivated individual who would like to join their established Engineering department.

The role will be responsible for design work across ongoing projects including material procurement, instigation, control and compilation and submission of all associated engineering documentation.

Job Summary:

  • Shall be fully committed to the achievement of the company policies and objectives with attention to quality, safety & environment
  • Will undertake reasonable instructions from senior personnel in the best interests of the company
  • Assisting Sales in the preparation of quotation drawings/documentation (workload permitting)
  • Assisting in the development of new equipment/new product ranges (workload permitting)
  • Assisting in the creation of standard 3D models and library parts (workload permitting)
  • Creating cost effective designs by integration of common parts and standardisation of components
  • Producing General Arrangement drawings, Manufacturing drawings and Technical Specifications
  • Producing 3D models for estimating weights, volumes, interferences, determining complex geometry, etc.
  • Verification of designs by calculations and/or FEA/CFD (analysis to be carried out under supervision)
  • Designing products that are safe and in accordance with Health & Safely legislation
  • Designing products that comply with applicable design codes, e.g. ASME VIII, ASME B31.3, etc.
  • Designing products that comply with applicable governing legislation, e.g. 2014/68/EU (PED)
  • Producing material requisitions to ensure all material/quantity/technical requirements are identified
  • Using standard components and referencing part numbers from the company system, where possible
  • Instigation and ongoing control of projects/contracts from Sales hand-over through to delivery.
  • Organisation of the duties, tasks & workload of engineers assisting on larger contracts.
  • Liaison with Quality/Production to ensure ‘sub-contract’ and ‘in-house’ activity is considered and controlled
  • Supervising workshop personnel and/or sub-contractors, as required Documentation
  • Organisation and preparation of all engineering documentation requirements, as required by the contract
  • Submission of required contract documentation to client/third party, via the Documentation department

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum GCSE Grade 5 (equivalent grade C) or higher in Maths & English
  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering essential
  • Essential knowledge of Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel) required
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat
  • AutoCad experience essential SolidWorks & 3D Modelling
  • ASME PV code knowledge preferred (i.e. ASME VIII)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, welding, piping and materials essential
  • Experience of working within the Oil & Gas industry preferred
  • Experience of filters, strainers and pressure vessels preferred.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Process Engineer to work for our client at their West Midlands facility, this is an exciting role working for a leading waste battery business and would work closely with the Engineering Manager.

The Process Engineer will assist to organise, manage and plan complex lithium recycling projects for our clients facility, and the successful candidate will be joining an international business division which has delivered accelerated growth and received significant investment over the last 2 years, including inorganic acquisition to complement organic expansion, and which is robustly profitable.

Duties Include:

  • Leads all assigned project work demonstrating companies values of Sustainability & Stewardship, Candor & Transparency, Accountability & Trust, Speed & Excellence.
  • Maintain clear communication pathway between the EV department and the Site Operations teams. 
  • Engage and communicate with process operators to ensure a smooth start up and operation.
  • Uses disciplined project management and planning methodology to deliver on project outcomes and realize results.
  • Assist in creating outline tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
  • Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
  • Working knowledge of quality improvement methods and concepts.
  • Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
  • Communicates and collaborates with cross-functional teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, meet deadlines and manage to schedule.

 

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Degree in technical field preferably with mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering background.
  • At least three years of related experience required. PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications preferred.
  • Track record for planning, executing, controlling and closing projects and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Technical Process Optimization experience to assist in the implementation of new technology and processes.
  • Strong skills in creating and maintaining project and program plans, including risks, actions, issues, dependencies.
  • Highly efficient in resource planning and tasks assignment
  • Knowledge of electrical sensors, instrument and control and systems integration
  • An enthusiastic, structured, and organised individual who can prioritise effectively with a ‘hands on approach’ and a desire to succeed.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders through effective communication and positive can-do attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability.

We are currently seeking an experienced Solar Sales professional with a proactive entrepreneurial drive and a track record of achieving targets in the Solar Sector. This role offers the opportunity to work for a leading manufacturer of solar and building envelope systems for the commercial market, handling various projects such as Ground mount solar systems and large-scale Commercial and Industrial rooftop arrays. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identifying and nurturing commercial solar enquiries through thorough market research
  • Building new relationships with installers and stakeholders

  • Delivering training and CPDs to clients and architects to increase our specification pipeline

The Person:

  • The successful Candidate will have experience of generating a robust pipeline, executing sales and delivering against annual targets.

  • Will require knowledge of closed power purchase agreements and understand the investor/operator model that is deployed in the distributed energy market.

  • Politically aware and can demonstrate influencing a stakeholder group including elected members and officials and being an active voice in associated organisations and industry groups

Desired Experience:
