  • Regularly update Product Management plans for the EMC principals and provide technical support to the sales team.

  • Maintain and enhance product/market knowledge, acting as the business lead for the EMC sector.
  • Support the sales team with customer visits, key account management, and collaborate with marketing to promote the EMC and test solutions function.

A number Process Production Operators are required with knowledge of working to production plans, building and assembling components for the supply of products into the MOD industry.

Candidates that have worked in a production, press, assembly environment, worked to targets and have experience with operating machines and assembling products would be well received.

Due to workload this MOD manufacturer based in Coventry requires experienced, dynamic, leading process operators on a day shift pattern. As a Assembly Operator, you will be required to:

  • Handle raw materials supplied to work streams.
  • Operate machinery
  • Assemble products
  • Delivery and set up workload.
  • Accurately assembly and inspect high value MOD parts
  • Preform tooling and material changes
  • Machine load and safe unloading of parts
  • Finish and assemble of composites components.
  • Pack and label of finished products.
  • Accurately record production data as required.

The Process Operator should have the following skills or experience:

  • Good manufacturing or engineering background
  • Warehouse or a good hands on background
  • Good standard of manual dexterity
  • Good timekeeping
  • Ability to work to written instructions
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions

A Technical Draughtsman and Mechanical Team Lead is required for an international Defence and Weapons Systems Company that is expanding their team. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements is available for this position. Salary and Seniority will depend on your skills and experience.

The Technical Draughtsman and Mechanical Team Lead will be part of the Mechanical Engineering team and will be involved in supporting technical changes to existing company products (i.e Defence and Weapons Systems).

The Technical Draughtsman and Mechanical Team Lead will be involved in the Mechanical Design, Tests and Trials and will have the opportunity to shape the next generation of defence/weapons platforms and future technologies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities for the Technical Draughtsman and Mechanical Team Lead

  • Lead and manage a small team of Draughtsmen Engineers, overseeing TDP resource and tasks, assigning packages of work to individuals and support their development through objectives setting and Personal Development Reviews.
  • Deliver technical documentation to support engineering solutions in the form of drawings, models and other technical outputs in accordance with working standards, practices and in line with business configuration management processes.
  • Establish, maintain and configuration control existing and new data, in line with the Configuration Management requirements of the applicable contract.
  • This work is to be undertaken in accordance with working standards and practices (e.g. BS 8888).
  • Ensure that the Technical Data Pack output meets appropriate quality requirements through correct engineering and mechanical drawing disciplines and modelling methods, design for manufacture considerations, as well as correctly populated CAD and PLM metadata.

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required for the Technical Draughtsman and Mechanical Team Lead

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, or experience within engineering.
  • Expertise in drawing standards, engineering and quality standards (e.g. BS 8888), and the application of geometric tolerances (GD&T).
  • Expertise in 3D and 2D CAD modelling, assembly and drawing (preferably CREO Parametrics, AutoCAD, GTXImage).
  • Expertise in configuration management and revision control, with an understanding of the links between CAD, Product Lifecycle Management systems (i.e. Teamcenter) and Enterprise Resource Planning systems (i.e. SAP).
  • Working knowledge of technical office processes and standards (i.e. Business Management System (BMS) and Life Cycle Model (LCM).

Do you have HGV/PSV fitting experience or a background as a heavy duty mechanics and are you seeking a new job in Coventry? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is looking for a full-time HGV/PSV Fitter,/Mechanic who is looking for a change of vehicle into the Defence sector. The role comes with a contract rate of £19.00 PAYE or £25.00 umbrella/Ltd per hour working a day shift. The contract is a 6 month rolling contract.  

 

In your first few weeks in this Fitter/Mechanic role, you can expect to:

 

  • Strip and rebuild wheel based military vehicles
  • Undergo repairs and vehicle modifications  
  • Removing base vehicle equipment, under bonnet and chassis work. 
  • Work within small cells fitting/integrating new parts/equipment to military vehicles
  • Drilling and lifting and the use of an overhead crane
  • Work on standardising all reference vehicles in line with project milestones

To apply for this Vehicle Fitter/Mechanic role, you will need:

 

  • Heavy Duty vehicle experience ideally HGV or PSV.
  • Under bonnet, Chassis and general mechanics
  • Military vehicle experience would be advantageous  
  • An affinity for and understanding of the design, engineering and manufacturing challenges of working with vehicles, ideally military vehicles
  • The capability of reading and interpreting design drawings and adherence to manufacturing instructions
  • The knowledge of how to carry out a basic vehicle service following all safety standards and maintain excellent situational safety awareness

 

 

You'll receive an excellent contract per hour rate of £19.00 PAYE or £25.00 umbrella/Ltd per hour in return for your knowledge, expertise and flexibility.
