What You Will Bring:

  • A Degree/HNC in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, or Mechatronics, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the calibration of vehicle control systems, such as powertrain or chassis. Transmission or Driveline would be preference.
  • Proficiency in CAN-based vehicle systems and associated tools, including CAN analysis software.
  • Knowledge of automotive electronics, sensors, control units, and vehicle diagnostics.
  • Competent problem-solving techniques and the ability to plan and organise work schedules to meet deadlines.

Reporting directly to a Purchasing Manager, this role is a pivotal driver of commercial management for a portfolio of parts and services required within a manufacturing location. In addition to managing the supply base within your category, you may take on a ‘Lead Buy’ role, overseeing the creation of supplier strategies, leading negotiations, resolving escalations, and ensuring alignment across Buying Teams.
