Are you ready to take your HR career to the next level?

Good. Because this role isn’t for someone who wants to sit quietly updating a policy last touched in 2018. This is HR in the real world — in a busy automotive manufacturing environment where things move quickly, people genuinely need your support, and the job isn’t just “advising managers”… it’s making sure things get done properly.

If you’re the sort of HR Advisor who waits to be asked, this won’t be for you. If you’re the type who steps in, guides, challenges and supports — you’ll fit in just fine. You’ll get a competitive salary, paid overtime (rare in HR), strong benefits and the chance to grow within an award-winning automotive manufacturer.

What You Will Do

• Provide practical, consistent HR advice across recruitment, disciplinaries, absence, performance, grievances and more.
• Lead end-to-end recruitment for production, technical and apprentice roles — interviews, testing, onboarding.
• Prepare offer letters and contracts, ensure Right-to-Work compliance, and maintain accurate HR records.
• Carry out HR audits and support the business in staying compliant.
• Deliver and support HR projects that actually matter, not just shelf-filler initiatives.
• Handle confidential and sensitive information with absolute integrity and GDPR awareness.
• Provide accurate information to payroll to keep payday calm and drama-free.

What You Will Bring

• CIPD Level 3 or 5, with around three years’ HR experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• A solid understanding of HR best practice and employment law, and the confidence to advise without overcomplicating things.
• Experience with HR systems; knowledge of Crown is a bonus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to stay calm, organised and professional when things get busy.
• A collaborative, supportive and proactive approach with good relationship-building skills.
• High integrity, confidentiality and a keen eye for detail.

Why Join

You’ll be part of a manufacturer producing world-class automotive components — the kind that wins awards, not the kind that just says it does. They’re growing, improving and expect the same from their HR team. You won’t be a passenger here; your work genuinely matters.

Location

This role is based on-site in Gloucester — a well-connected area with the bonus of an early finish on Fridays.

Interested?

If you want a passive HR role, this isn’t it. If you want to make a real impact as an HR Advisor in a high-performance, well-run manufacturing business, then you should apply.
