What You Will Do:
- Develop, maintain, and deploy a SHE management system that meets international standards and supports organisational goals.
- Provide competent SHE governance, advice, and support to Line Leaders for effective SHE management within their areas of responsibility.
- Manage and develop a team of SHE professionals, ensuring resources are deployed effectively and talent is managed in line with changing business needs.
- Support the development and implementation of SHE strategy, governance, and change programmes for continuous improvement in SHE risk management.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to integrate SHE into business processes and decision-making at both strategic and operational levels.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and effective engagement with regulators, representing the company in wider industry forums as needed.
What You Will Bring:
- A QCF/NQF Level 5 (or higher) SHE qualification, such as NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of post-qualification experience applying SHE knowledge in work-related situations.
- Experience of reporting SHE status and improvement plans at Board level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A pragmatic approach to prioritising and promoting SHE initiatives with a track record of success in the SHE field.

As Mechanical Stress Engineer - you will be required to;
- Create mechanical models to analyse the aircraft components and sub-systems using analysis methods ranging from initial scoping calculations in mathcad to 2D and 3D FEA models.
- Build and analyse mechanical models of static and rotating components using 2D and 3D FEA.
- Working closely with design team to optimise the performance and integrity of mechanical components across the platform.
- Technical assessment of the component life and integrity through the design phase, into testing, verification, validation, certification and in-service support.
- LCF and HCF lifing of components
- Crack propagation and damage tolerance assessments of Critical Parts.
As Mechanical Stress Engineer - you will have;
- BSc/BEng in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with relevant mechanical analysis experience
- FEA mechanical analysis experience
- Good understanding of transient thermal loads in hot components and load interactions
- Experience in rig testing and verification is desirable
- Experience with damage tolerance assessments is desirable
- Team orientated, problem solving attitude.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will have a proven track record for delivering aircraft certification and leadership of certification programmes, ideally in GA, small business jet or helicopters. - Own the company's relationship with the UK CAA and foreign authorities.

An opportunity has arisen for a CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer to join an Aerospace and Defence Research Organisation within the Milton Keynes area. The successful CNC Setter/Operator/ Programmer will join the Engineering Team and will play an integral part in the development of world leading capabilities and the cutting edge of Aerospace research. The CNC Setter/Operator/ Programmer will report to the Supervisor and Production Manager. The successful CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer will be a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist and this role is critical to the production of high-value, one-off components for the company. Responsibilities of the CNC Setter/Operator/ Programmer
- Perform on-line programming and setting tasks on CNC machines using Heidenhein controls.
- Training can be provided if you have experience with other control systems.
- Set up and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines with a high degree of precision/efficiency.
- Accurately interpret technical drawings and specification with an understanding of GD&T.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
- Operate multiple machines as required to meet production schedules.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with the CNC Supervisor, Production Manager and other departments to provide clear progress updates.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required for the CNC Setter/Operator/ Programmer
- Proven experience as a CNC machinist with understanding of 3 & 5-axis programs.
- Skilled in CNC set-up, including preparation of tooling, fixtures, and work pieces.
- Experience in on-line CNC programming, with strong problem-solving abilities for set-ups and real-time adjustments.
- Knowledge in the set-up and operation of CNC Milling Machines.
- Experience in manual milling and turning.
- Experience using cylindrical grinders and flat bed grinders
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring tight tolerances on bespoke one-off components.
- Effective communication skills with team members, technical leads, and management.
- Possession of an HNC, HND, City & Guilds qualification in a related field, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience in CNC machining and programming.
- Demonstrate understanding of and adherence to Health and Safety standards.
