QA TECHNICIAN NEEDED IN MARKET DRAYTON, SHROPSHIRE!!
An experienced QA Technician is required for a well established food manufacturing business in Market Drayton, Shropshire, the hiring manager is looking for someone who has previous experience from within the food manufacturing industry and preferably someone who holds a HACCP Level 3, and Food Hygiene Level 2.
The salary for this job is paying up to £29,000 per annum, this will be working a day shift pattern Monday to Friday, with the working hours flexible in terms of start and finish time (39 hours per week).
We are looking for someone who has previous auditing experience and can confidently complete supporting paperwork once the quality checks have been conducted.
What You Will Do:
- Conduct on-line quality checks, daily QAS checks, and Taste Panels to ensure all raw materials and finished products meet specifications.
- Perform audits according to schedule, including GMP, Plastic and Glass, and process audits, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Oversee lab sampling, including taking required samples and sending them for analysis, reviewing results, and implementing necessary measures.
- Manage non-conforming items by generating reports, escalating issues, and ensuring prompt resolution.
- Lead training interventions to address identified training needs and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Create and maintain customer specifications and technical request information, playing a pivotal role in maintaining product integrity.
What You Will Bring:
- Proven experience in a technical food production or bakery environment.
- HACCP qualification (ideally level 3) and Food Hygiene qualification.
- Experience in Audit training with a certification preferred.

- Foster a development culture by supporting staff induction, training, appraisals, and development reviews.

- Proven experience in a team leader/managerial role, ideally within the manufacturing industry, specifically food manufacturing.
