3. What training and development opportunities will be available to me?

When you first start with us we will provide you with a full onboarding programme to bring you up to speed with life here at Jonathan Lee Recruitment. As a new recruit, you will become engaged with the business from day 1, and over a period of 12 weeks we will work with you to tailor your knowledge and development, fully establishing you in the business and giving you a platform to take your career in the direction you want.

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is fully committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement. So the question is not what opportunities are available to you, but what opportunities do you want?

4. How will my performance be appraised?

We believe that continuous feedback is more useful than a dusty appraisal file taken out of a cabinet once a year. You will meet regularly with your line manager to ensure that you are on track. At certain points, we will ask your peers for feedback on you alongside checking your knowledge and progress on a variety of learning and development areas. The annual appraisal process is simply a small part of a wider appraisal framework designed to support you throughout your career with us.

5. What benefits do you offer?

We offer a group pension scheme, car allowance for consultants, commission structures for fee earners, an annual bonus scheme and payment toward eye tests and glasses. Alongside this, we also provide a generous basic salary, 25 days holiday (not including Bank Holidays). You can earn additional holiday loyalty days dependent on length of service. We also hold staff social events across the year so if you enjoy good food and fun times, you are in good company.

We offer flexible working and a blended model which gives our staff great work life balance and the flexibility to work in the most effective way.

6. How does the selection process work?

We have a thorough selection process because we really want to get to know you and understand where you will be best placed in our business - and also to allow you the time to get to know us better too!

In the first instance, we will hold an informal call with you to get to know you better and talk about your career to date. If that goes well, we will invite you in for a first interview where you will get to meet some of the team and have a look around our offices.

If we progress you to the second stage interview, we will first invite you to complete some online tests. We work with SHL Talent Measurement Solutions to administer both online assessments and an Occupational Personality Questionnaire. We do not make decisions on whether to progress candidates on the basis of these online results; they merely help to shape and open up areas we would like to explore further with you.

The second stage interview will be tailored to the requirement of your role and will be a further opportunity for you to meet some more members of our team. Once the second stage interview has been completed, we will then take a decision on whether to offer a position with us.
