Team Leader – Spindle Service Centre

Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader in our Spindle Service Centre. 

 Job Description

• You will be supporting the team and become the go to person to resolve problems prior to supervisory escalation.
• Support weekly production plan (achievement and recovery plan).
• Responsible for assigning staff on and off job against the production plan.
• Ensure staff are on the job, engaged and achieving standard times.
• Improve standard times and reduce waste in the process.
• Ensure quality gateways are complete to the highest standard.
• Provide on the job training.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

• Quality-focused, confident, flexible and highly motivated.
• Good communication skills are essential.
• Ambassador for 5S in the workplace.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Boost morale and promote a happy, proactive and inclusive team.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience previously managing teams and delivering business results.
• In-depth knowledge of spindles and Spindle Service Centre processes.
• ILM or other leadership qualifications.
