A leading food manufacturer are seeking a Graduate Reliability Engineer. This role is working across the engineering function, overseeing day-to-day performance, reducing downtime, and shaping smarter maintenance plans in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. As a Graduate Reliability Engineer, you will help keep critical factory equipment running reliably, support continuous improvement, and take ownership for an area of the operational asset base. It's a hands-on opportunity that blends technical problem-solving with practical planning, collaboration, and meaningful results for production teams.

 

What You Will Do:

- Maintain reliability and availability for factory equipment through an effective planned maintenance regime as a Reliability Engineer.

- Monitor equipment downtime, analyse trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives using clear downtime data for weekly meetings.

- Raise planned and reactive maintenance jobs, then review completed job sheets to ensure learning is captured and acted upon.

- Support installation and capital projects, coordinating activity alongside production and planning teams in the reliability space.

- Coordinate OEM engineer service visits, scheduling follow-up work that arises from inspections, and ensuring actions are tracked.

- Oversee equipment calibrations and support compliance-focused documentation such as risk assessments and PPMS creation.

 

What You Will Bring:

- An engineering qualification at with a Bachelor's degree preferred, or HNC/HND or equivalent considered.

- Experience within an engineering maintenance environment, with a strong understanding of reliability in an operational setting.

- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with on-shift engineers, suppliers, and contractors.

- Strong IT capability, particularly with Power BI and Excel, to analyse downtime and equipment efficiency.

- A self-motivated approach, able to multi-task and thrive within timeline-driven planning and continuous improvement.

 

As a Reliability Engineer, this position directly supports the operational goals of a major food supply chain business by helping equipment stay available, improving maintenance effectiveness, and enabling high-quality production at scale. The emphasis on planning, analysis, and collaboration aligns with a culture of delivering great quality and great service every day, while also encouraging continuous development through training and progression.

 

Location:

This Reliability Engineer role is based at the Telford site, working Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00.
