Maintenance Engineer

A growing FMCG manufacturer are seeking an electrically bias Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of cutting-edge machinery and systems. The role is working 3 shifts a week on a night shift. 

Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 5.30pm till 6am. 

Salary £47,000 to £49,750 plus Benefits- It's a hourly paid role. 

What You Will Do:

- Perform planned, preventative, and reactive electrical maintenance across all plant, equipment, and infrastructure, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in control panels, PLCs, drives, motors, sensors, and other systems to maintain operational efficiency.

- Support production teams by ensuring all electrical systems are fully operational and safe before production start-up.

- Collaborate with contractors to ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and site procedures.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer standards.

- Proactively recommend improvements to electrical systems to enhance reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.

What You Will Bring:

- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

- Strong knowledge of control panels, PLCs, drives, and electrical systems.

- Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently and effectively.

- A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
