The Role

As a Resident Engineer, you’ll be the on-site technical lead, ensuring specialist test equipment is operating at its best. You’ll carry out fault diagnosis, repairs, calibration, and system support while keeping downtime to a minimum.

• Diagnose and repair test equipment faults on-site
• Support commissioning and ongoing operation of test systems
• Produce calibration records, technical reports, and risk assessments
• Log and escalate issues using specialist software tools
• Represent the company professionally, building strong customer relationships

About You

• HND or higher in mechatronics, automotive, or electrical engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• PLC knowledge advantageous
• Able to work independently under pressure
• Excellent communication skills, team player, flexible approach
• Full UK driving licence
