Senior Fire Consultant (Hybrid)

With a particular focus on fire protection materials used within the construction and protection sector, our client is an established global manufacturer of fire protection products supplying in to markets throughout the world. To support their organisations continued development and work closely with the Fire Protection Team, they are seeking a Senior Fire Consultant / Engineer to support their continued successful market presence.

Based from a hybrid position but working closely with the manufacturing operation in Manchester, candidates should have an existing expertise as a Senior Fire Engineer / Fire Safety Advisor / Passive Fire Protection Inspector / Fire Engineer and be versed in the current technical standards and requirements. You will ideally have a good working knowledge of Approved Document B and relating sector requirements.

As a subject matter expert, you will be tasked with specifying and providing technical guidance relating to passive fire protection products and work to support successful market involvement. This is not a sales position but is to support the further market development, technical support and engagement, as well as the success of the organisation in the UK and potentially internationally.

Role Duties

  • Work closely with the commercial team to answer technical questions
  • Provide specification advice to enable correct use of their products
  • Attend meeting (F2F / teams) with project stakeholders including Architects, Main Contractors, Fire Engineer, Subcontractors and Building Control
  • Manage a team of 2 site support specialists (Technical Advisors)
  • Visit site to provide installation advice and inspections
  • Provide toolbox talks to demonstrate installation methods around passive fire protection on live projects, in particular within external wall cladding systems.
  • Inspect sites to ensure compliance with specifications and installation requirements including taking measurements, photographs and data capture, followed by site reports.
  • Support cross functional teams on new product introduction and product development

External Sales Engineer - EDM

Following continued growth of our Client in the UK and internationally for the supply of EDM components and tooling, we are looking to recruit an additional External Sales Engineer to help take our business to the next level.

We are therefore looking for a confident, hardworking Sales professional ideally with experience in EDM / Graphite however a background in manufacturing & consumable sales will be viewed favourably. Representing the full product range from fully manufactured graphite parts to EDM consumables, this will be a role with scope and opportunity for growth.

The successful applicant will undergo comprehensive training to fully familiarise themselves with the processes within the company from both from an administrative viewpoint and a manufacturing one. During this time, the successful applicant will also shadow the existing external team to customers within the various industries that Erodex service.

With responsibility for a geographic area within in the South of the UK, this will be a role suited to someone ideally based within the area. The candidate will be required to manage workloads and customer demands.

Key Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role will be to support the integration, design and development of components and systems for next generation vehicles. You will create and manipulate geometry for primary communication of concepts / schemes.

  • Proven experience in an automotive or motorsport applications as part of an OEM, Tier 1 or consultancy being able to use CAD (Catia)
  • Experience in complete vehicle development cycle experience for closure & mechanism activities
