Electrical Design Engineer – £38,000 + Benefits
Full-Time | Permanent based in Shrewsbury
A leading manufacturer of material handling and lifting equipment is looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team.
Working days Monday – Friday
Role Overview
- Create electrical schematics using SEE Electrical CAD
- PLC wiring diagrams, I/O schedules & panel layouts
- Parts lists/BOM creation and ordering components
- Safety circuit design (BS EN ISO 13849/60261)
- LV distribution/cable calculations (as required)
- Technical documentation & project support
- Fault-finding on existing systems
- Occasional travel, late working or weekend work
Requirements
- 5+ years electrical engineering experience
- 3+ years system design experience
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with SEE Electrical CAD
- Understanding of PLC/HMI/SCADA systems
- Knowledge of industrial networks (Profibus, Profinet)
- Clean driving licence
- Siemens PLC experience beneficial (training provided)
Current or recent experience design engineer, controls engineer, electrical controls engineer or design engineer – electrical.
