The Opportunity
Are you a technically minded sales professional with experience in food processing machinery and a passion for winning business?
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a sales territory, build strong customer relationships and drive growth across the UK and Ireland. You’ll combine your technical knowledge of food processing equipment with a proactive approach to business development, identifying new opportunities, developing existing accounts and delivering tailored solutions that make a real difference to customers.
With the freedom to manage your own diary and pipeline, this role is ideal for a commercially driven individual who enjoys being out in the field, building relationships and turning opportunities into profitable business.
Key Responsibilities

Drive new business growth through proactive prospecting, networking and customer visits.

Develop existing accounts, strengthen relationships and identify opportunities for additional sales.

Use your knowledge of food processing machinery to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions.

Manage the full sales process, from initial enquiry and technical consultation through to quotation, negotiation and closing the deal.

Build long-term partnerships with customers, suppliers and key decision-makers.

Identify new applications, markets and opportunities to increase revenue and profitability.

Manage your sales pipeline, customer activity and performance against targets.

Work collaboratively with internal teams and suppliers to deliver effective technical and commercial solutions.

Travel regularly throughout the UK and Ireland to meet customers and develop new opportunities.
About You

Essential: Previous experience in technical sales or business development involving food processing machinery.

Strong technical understanding of food processing equipment and its applications.

A proven ability to develop customer relationships, identify opportunities and generate sales.

Commercially focused, motivated and confident in winning new business.

Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage your own territory and sales pipeline.

Able to translate technical requirements into commercially attractive solutions.

Full UK driving licence essential, with flexibility to travel throughout the UK and Ireland.
