Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and practical Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s team at a busy factory in Bridgnorth. The role involves maintaining and repairing plant equipment, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, and resolving mechanical and electrical faults. The position offers a competitive salary, a four-on, four-off Day shift pattern, overtime opportunities and access to funded training.
Location: Bridgnorth, West Midlands
Salary: £50,500 per annum + overtime at time-and-a-half (60K Region)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – Days only
The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding and repairing a wide range of mechanical and electrical plant equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults.
- Maintaining pumps, conveyors, motors, hydraulics and pneumatic systems.
- Fault-finding on three-phase electrical systems, control circuits, inverters and control panels.
- Supporting general plant and site maintenance activities.
- Ensuring equipment operates safely, reliably and efficiently.
- Following site health and safety procedures and maintaining high engineering standards.
What We’re Looking For
- A strong mechanical maintenance background, including pumps, conveyors, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Experience with three-phase electrical systems and control circuit fault-finding.
- An NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 18th Edition qualification, or relevant City & Guilds certification.
- Experience working within an industrial or process plant environment.
- At least one year of mechanical maintenance experience.
- A full UK driving licence and your own transport.
- The ability to live within approximately 25 miles of the Bridgnorth site.
- Welding experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
Current or recent experience as shift maintenance engineer, multi-skilled maintenance engineer, maintenance engineer, plant maintenance engineer, electrical maintenance engineer, service engineer

- £50,500 annual salary (£60K with additional hours available)
- Permanent, full-time employment.
