What You Will Do:
– Lead and motivate an experienced team to improve on-time delivery for UK and international customers as an Operations Manager.
– Own the development of manufacturing capability, quality standards, and performance against SQCPD targets within the Quality Management System.
– Create a high-performance, continuous improvement culture using Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques as Operations Manager.
– Ensure manufacturing operations meet Safety, Health and Environmental requirements consistently, in line with company standards.
– Provide leadership, training, and support to ensure production capability and resources meet present and predicted demand.
– Report directly into the Managing Director and help deliver site-wide transformation as part of a Senior Management Team.
What You Will Bring:
– Proven Operations Management experience, including people leadership and measurable productivity improvements.
– Strong lean manufacturing experience and a track record of sustainable culture change.
– Experience working in an MRP/ERP manufacturing environment, operating to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
– Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the confidence to challenge tradition constructively.
– Demonstrable commercial acumen, including departmental budgeting, cost reduction initiatives, CAPEX justification, and resource planning.
