Launch a rewarding career in the manufacturing and compliance world as a Health, Safety & Quality Apprentice. This Health, Safety & Quality Apprentice role is designed to help you build practical, hands-on experience while learning recognised Health & Safety and auditing skills. You’ll get broad exposure across operational teams, develop real confidence with inspections and investigations, and contribute to a culture where getting things right first time matters every day.
What You Will Do:
. Support the HSE Manager with day-to-day Health & Safety activities, including inspections, audits and safety observations.
. Assist with risk assessments, safe systems of work, and the maintenance of accurate COSHH records.
. Help with accident, incident and near-miss reporting, supporting corrective and preventative actions through to completion.
. Contribute to Quality Management System development, internal audits, and the recording of findings, non-conformances and improvement opportunities.
. Support investigations using basic root cause thinking, and help verify actions are implemented and effective.
. Help maintain controlled documentation, support training administration, and support continuous improvement projects across the group sites.
What You Will Bring:
. A genuine interest in building a career in Health, Safety and Quality, with a positive, practical and questioning mindset.
. Strong attention to detail, confidence speaking with people at different levels, and an organised approach to keeping accurate records.
. Comfort using Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new systems and processes quickly.
. The ability to work independently while knowing when to seek support, advice or guidance.
. A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and supporting safe and compliant working practices.
This Health, Safety & Quality Apprentice position supports the wider aims of the manufacturing organisation by helping strengthen compliance, quality consistency and continuous improvement. From helping teams follow agreed processes to encouraging hazards, near misses and improvement ideas to be raised, your day-to-day contribution directly supports safer workplaces and more reliable quality outcomes.
Location:
The Health, Safety & Quality Apprentice role is based in Dudley, with travel across multiple sites within the Thomas Dudley Group.
You must live near to Dudley, West Mids, UK, and have full RTW in the UK for this role, as there will be no sponsorship offered.
