CNC Setter/Operator – Worcester
£35,900 – £41,000 including 33% shift premium + potential for higher salary for experienced candidates
Nights – Sunday to Thursday: 10:00pm – 6:00am
Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading machine tool manufacturer that has been at the forefront of the industry for many years.
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join the Large Castings Machining Department.
The Role
- Programming, setting and operating Mazak 4 and 5 Axis machining centres.
- Producing a varied range of highly toleranced components used in the manufacture of CNC machine tools.
- Using Mazatrol CNC controls to program, edit and improve existing and new components.
- Working as part of a team within a busy manufacturing environment.
- Working to strict health and safety standards and procedures.
- Supporting a positive culture through involvement in Health & Safety improvements and Kaizen initiatives.
Essential Criteria
- Solid experience of setting and operating CNC machining centres.
- Experience using CNC controls safely and effectively.
- Previous experience working within a busy manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience programming directly from engineering drawings using Mazatrol CNC controls.
