A large food manufacturer are seeking a Reliability Engineer to join their team. You will working across manufacturing, were continuous improvement is part of everyday work. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Reliability Engineer to help keep factory equipment performing at its best, support planned maintenance, and drive downtime reductions through smart analysis and collaboration. If reliability, problem-solving, and engineering excellence motivate us, you will feel right at home in this role as a Reliability Engineer.
Monday to Friday Days.
What You Will Do:
– Own reliability for an area within the operational environment, supporting effective asset management as a Reliability Engineer.
– Maintain a high level of equipment reliability through a strong planned maintenance regime.
– Gather and analyse equipment downtime and efficiency data to identify trends and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
– Raise planned and reactive maintenance jobs, and review completed job sheets to keep work quality high.
– Produce downtime data for weekly meetings, helping teams make better decisions fast.
– Support installation and capital projects, coordinate OEM service visits, and liaise with production and planning teams to schedule follow-on work.
What You Will Bring:
– An engineering qualification at Level 3 or above, plus experience in an engineering maintenance environment.
– Strong analytical skills, with confidence in using IT systems to report on performance and downtime.
– The ability to problem-solve, communicate clearly, and work effectively with on-shift engineers, suppliers, and contractors.
– Self-motivation and the ability to multi-task in a timeline-driven workplace, while maintaining high standards.
– Desirable: awareness of a CMMS (for example, Mainsaver or Spidex) and experience supporting projects or contractor management.
This Reliability Engineer role sits within the engineering function of a leading food supply business, playing a key part in keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently. By improving equipment availability and supporting a robust maintenance approach, this position helps protect quality, operational performance, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Based in Hereford, with Monday to Friday working hours.
