Cockpit Test and Development Lead Engineer – 37435826 – £30.71/hr umbrella rate

What You Will Do:
- Coordinate development, testing and verification for new cockpit content from planning through to sign-off as part of the Cockpit Test and Development Lead Engineer remit.
- Set up, monitor, track and report development progression, ensuring test timing plans are followed to support programme gateway commitments.
- Manage RMDV (management tracking system) deck activity for relevant programmes, setting and cascading targets to the appropriate areas.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials for test parts, keeping documentation accurate and audit-ready for engineering sign-off.
- Liaise with suppliers and test houses, obtain quotes, and partner with the value for money function to support approvals.
- Evaluate test results, resolve issues, produce reports, and ensure information is filed back into RMDV, keeping module documentation current.
What You Will Bring:
- Previous experience resolving business, technical and process issues within a project team environment.
- Degree qualification or equivalent experience, with a solid understanding of Digi buck and Design Verification processes.
- Knowledge of engineering standards and test procedures, with confidence setting up and progressing practical test plans.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, particularly when coordinating across programme stakeholders.
- A proactive, independent working style with tenacity and the ability to deliver operational plans in a complex, demanding environment.
