Quality Engineer

My client is a firmly established SME manufacturing company focused on the supply of metal-based components across a range of sectors. They are seeking a Quality Engineer to join their existing team. As a Quality Engineer, you will lead the APQP process, resolve quality related issues ensure that documentation is completed accurately including PPAP’s, PFMEA’s and audits.
Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
– Lead the APQP process from initial concept through to delivery
– Resolve quality related issues
– Serve as the NPI quality contact for both customers and suppliers
– Compile and submit PPAPs
– Quality check thorough out the manufacturing processes
– Ensure that industry quality standards are maintained
Quality Engineer Requirements:
– HNC or equivalent in engineering
– Previous experience working in a quality engineering related position
– Experienced working within a manufacturing environment
– Knowledge of IAFT 16949 would be beneficial
– Experienced with APQP, PPAP, FMEA and MSA
– Must be a team player
– Able to provide technical support to both customers and the wider engineering teams
