Permanent vacancies Production Technicians (Telford, Shropshire)
Have you previously worked with machinery within a manufacturing environment, do you have experience setting and operating machinery. Do you have a mechanical/technical background and are you happy working 4 on 4 off shift patterns? (12hr rotating days and nights)
Due to significant growth and investment, we are looking for 20 Production Technicians to join a long standing food manufacturing business in Telford, these are permanent jobs with the company from day one, and the starting salary is just over £35,000 per annum, initially rising to just under £39,500 per annum, and then increaseing to just under £43,500 per annum once fully signed off and trained.
The hiring manager is looking for someone that lives within a 25 mile radius of Telford (Shropshire).
This will be a 2 stage interview process, with the first stage consisting of a numeracy and literacy assessment on site in Telford, Shropshire.
These roles would be a great fit for someone who has previously worked as a Manufacturing Technician, Process Technician, Senior Operator, Skilled Operator, Technical Operator, Process Operator, Skilled Machine Operator, Machine Setter, Machine Setter Operator or Skilled Machinist within a production/manufacturing facility.
What You Will Do:
- Operate state-of-the-art, fully automated machinery that sets the company apart in the FMCG production industry.
- Lead a team of machine operators, providing training and driving performance to ensure smooth operations.
- Take ownership of the production line’s performance, actively solving problems and optimising efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, refining processes to boost productivity and quality.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Quality, and Health & Safety standards, maintaining the highest operational standards.
- Manage start-up and changeovers using standard operating procedures to keep production lines running seamlessly.
What You Will Bring:

- Experience in a fast-paced production environment, ideally within the food or processing industry.
- A proactive approach to learning new techniques and technologies, with a drive for continuous improvement.

- Flexibility, enthusiasm, and the ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining a keen eye for detail.
