As a Transmission Design Engineer you will:
- Develop mechanical design schemes and detailed designs for various transmission components and assemblies.
- Lead the design and development of transmission systems for light helicopters.
- Create concept designs of mechanical systems using PTC Creo.
- Conduct engineering calculations and simulations to optimise system elements.
- Develop testing plans for parts and systems while supporting in-house prototype builds.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver innovative solutions that meet high-performance standards.
The Senior Design Engineer will have:
- A degree in Engineering (or equivalent proven experience).
- Strong mechanical design expertise, with proficiency in CAD for modelling parts and assemblies.
- Ability to carry out engineering calculations and use modelling/simulation software like Mathcad or ANSYS.
- Experience in developing mechanical systems from concept to completion.
- A hands-on approach, a can-do attitude, and the ability to challenge conventional thinking constructively.
