– Build and sustain strategic relationships with key vendors, ensuring they are fully committed to the company’s major programmes.
– Develop and implement partnership-led agreements, positioning the company as a “customer of choice” for critical suppliers.
– Lead high-value negotiations to drive commercial value while maintaining the highest levels of quality and compliance.
– Design and execute a robust steel supply strategy tailored to the UK construction sector.
What You Will Bring:
– Proven experience in a procurement leadership role, ideally within a manufacturing environment delivering large-scale projects.
– Strong knowledge of supply chain management within the construction or infrastructure sectors, with expertise in the UK steel market.
– Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems to manage complex inventories and workflows (experience with Progress Plus is highly advantageous).
– Demonstrated ability to develop procurement strategies that align with project requirements and production timelines.
– Degree-level qualification in a relevant business or engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
