The opportunity
We’re working with a well-established client to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their finance team in Telford. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working at pace and being involved across multiple areas of finance and business operations.
You’ll support the day-to-day running of finance, ensuring processes are completed accurately and on time while also getting involved in wider administrative and operational tasks.
Key responsibilities as a Financial Accountant

Processing invoices and receipts
- Managing weekly payment runs and issuing remittance advice

Updating financial information within the system

Sales Ledger

Credit control
-
Reporting
-
Carrying out daily bank reconciliations

Processing expenses
-
General Ledger tasks
-
VAT Reporting
-
Budgeting and Forecasting

Auditing
-
Supporting other departments when required
What we’re looking for
- AAT Level 3 minimum, ideally Level 4 qualified
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts-based role
- Experience using Oracle or a similar ERP system would be beneficial
- Good working knowledge of Excel and standard IT systems
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to manage workloads and meet deadlines in a busy environment
