Battery Engineer – 36835870 – £27.30/hr umbrella rate

What You Will Do:
• Evaluate battery structure designs and conduct daily battery tests, including charging and discharging capacity, cycle life, and failure analysis.
• Design and optimise battery pack thermal management schemes, including thermal simulations and testing.
• Model battery efficiency and service life to ensure optimal performance.
• Manage projects and processes independently, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
• Coach and review the work of junior professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements, including Risk Assessment, COSHH, and SDS.
What You Will Bring:
• Technical expertise in test facility operations and system preparation.
• Experience with data acquisition and control systems, with a focus on automated tests.
• Strong analytical skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in reading and preparing engineering documents.
• A full UK driving licence with less than six penalty points and no disqualifications.
Ideally educated to Degree level in a System, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic or related field.
