CNC Machinist – Permanent
£16.88/hr + 50% shift allowance (£25.33/hr)
Approx. £48,735 per annum incl. shift premium (£32,493 base).
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set and operate CNC machinery within a high-precision, low-volume manufacturing environment. Security Clearance (SC) required – applicants must have lived in the UK continuously for the past 5 years.
The Role
- Set tooling and fixtures and operate CNC machines using proven programs
- Carry out minor CNC program edits
- Produce first-off components to drawing and quality standards
- Work to Inspection Control Plans where required
- Capture process data (SPC/OEE)
- Support on-time delivery and continuous improvement
- Maintain AS9100 and H&S standards
Requirements
- Proven CNC machining experience (Milling and/or Turning and/or Mill-Turn)
- Experience machining precision components from a range of materials
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
- Background in high-value, low-volume manufacturing
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Additional machining skills (EDM, Grinding, Manual Turning etc.) advantageous
- Applicants must have lived in the UK continuously for the past 5 years.
Shift Pattern (37 hours paid per week)
- Nights: Sun 10:30pm–6am | Mon–Thurs 10pm–6am
- Lates: Mon–Thurs 2pm–10pm | Fri 1:30pm–9pm
- Earlies: Mon–Fri 6am–2pm | Fri 6am–1:30pm
- (30-minute unpaid break per shift)
