PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR REQUIRED IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE!!!
Have you previously worked within the Off-Highway / Defence / Re-manufacturing sector and are you an experienced Supervisor or Team Leader looking for a new job opportunity?!
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join a well established business in Telford (Shropshire), the hiring manager is specifically looking for someone who has come from either the Off-Highway, Defence or Re-manufacturing sector.
This will be working a day shift (8.00am – 16.30pm Monday to Friday) and the annual salary is paying up to £38,000 per annum (DOE).
You will be overseeing a team of 15 Fitters/Engineers and we are looking for someone who has a proven background in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, whether that be gained through qualifications, or proven practical experience.
Anyone who has previously worked as a Manufacturing Supervisor, Manufacturing Team Leader, Section Leader, Workshop Leader, Workshop Supervisor, Engineering Team Leader, Workshop Manager or Production Team Leader from the industries above would be well received.
What You Will Do:
- Lead a team of skilled technicians to deliver exceptional results, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Oversee production schedules, ensuring they align with customer requirements and the company’s objectives.
- Monitor and optimise the use of human, material, and capital resources to maximise productivity.
- Enforce adherence to company procedures, including health and safety, quality standards, and operating protocols.
- Identify opportunities for improvement, communicate them effectively, and implement approved changes.
- Maintain a structured and organised work environment, ensuring the team produces high-quality work efficiently.
- Record daily job activities accurately using the company’s systems.
What You Will Bring:
- Previous experience from either the Off-Highway, Defence or Remanufacturing industry.
- Proven electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge, backed by qualifications and/or practical experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in leading a team and managing resources in a production or workshop setting.
