A large food manufacturer are seeking an experienced mechanical bias Maintenance Engineer, you’ll have experience conducting routine & reactive maintenance on fast paced machinery. You will also be confident in welding and fabrication to produce parts.
Working a rotating day & nights panama shift pattern 12 hour shifts.
Salary £40,000 to £47,000 plus Benefits.
What You Will Do:
– Carry out scheduled maintenance and implement effective corrective actions to ensure machinery operates at peak performance.
– Respond swiftly to mechanical, electrical, andl breakdowns, identifying root causes and proposing improvements to prevent recurrence.
– Communicate breakdowns to the Engineering Shift Manager and collaborate with operations to minimise disruptions.
– Promote good engineering practices and maintain a safe, healthy, and hygienic working environment.
– Mentor and support Level 1 to 3 Maintenance Engineers and Apprentices, fostering growth and development within the team.
What You Will Bring:
– Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering or equivalent qualifications such as HNC, HND, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
– Strong mechanical engineering background, with ability to conduct fabrication and welding tasks.
– Proven experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing systems, with mechanical fitting skills.
– Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
