Job Description
The Role
Setting & operating Studer cylindrical/universal grinding machines. Producing a wide & varied range of high tolerance parts which are used in the manufacture of Mazak CNC machines.
Understand Fanuc CNC controls & be able to program/edit/improve existing & new parts.
Work within a team of fellow engineers to strict health & safety guidelines & rules.
Play your part in promoting positive culture amongst staff by engaging in H&S improvements & kaizen initiatives
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
Have a solid understanding of cylindrical & universal grinding.
Have experience & can safely operate & set CNC controls.
Have a can-do attitude.
Prior experience working within a team in a busy manufacturing environment.
Desirable Criteria
Program from drawing Fanuc CNC controls.
Have CNC grinding knowledge.
Would have served a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship.

Overtime is paid at Time 1/3 first 2 hours then Time 1/2 thereafter each day. Saturday is Time 1/2 and Sunday Double Time
The hours are a rotational shift pattern, which are:
AM Shift – 05:30am – 1:30pm Monday to Friday then onto the PM Shift
PM Shift 2:00pm – 10:30pm Monday to Thursday and Friday is 2:00pm – 8:00pm
