Warehouse Operative (FLT – Counterbalance)
Location: Wolverhampton
Pay Rate: £12.23 per hour – PAYE (Temp to Perm)
Shifts Available: Standard Days & Double Days (12.5% shift allowance)
We are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join a leading engineering manufacturer based in Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role within a professional, organised, and safety-focused environment. A valid Counterbalance FLT licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a range of MLO duties including deburring, washing and drying parts, polishing, packaging, assembling, and preparing components prior to use.
- Load and unload vehicles and store materials correctly.
- Identify materials when required and visually check stillages/skips, reporting any defects.
- Work closely with Production Control to ensure materials are delivered to the point of use efficiently.
- Perform general workshop tasks such as emptying swarf skips, sweeping floors, and removing waste.
- Move pallets using hand trucks or an FLT (counterbalance).
- Assist with packing and despatch when needed.
- Complete batch cards, inspection records, preventative maintenance logs, training documentation, and other required paperwork.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment.
- Work independently and follow all SOPs, Quality Instructions, Risk Assessments, COSHH data, and manufacturing processes.
- Undertake any training required to support personal development and job performance.
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence.
- Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or engineering environment preferred.
- Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
- Good attention to detail and strong work ethic.
