What You Will Do:

 

– Produce detailed drawings, design specifications, technical plans, and reports that meet contractual requirements and promote cost-effective design.

– Assist in validating systems and equipment, including creating test schedules, integration plans, and technical reports.

– Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with technical requirements and quality standards.

– Stay updated on technical advancements and apply this knowledge to ongoing projects.

– Ensure designs prioritise safety, manufacturability, cost targets, EMC, reliability, and maintainability.

– Perform self-verification of tasks and cross-check peers’ work to ensure quality and completeness.

– Ensurinng Designs address, Safety, Design for Manufacture, to target cost, EMC, Reliability and maintainability  

 

What You Will Bring:

 

– Must be a UK national due to a British only eyes only role and security clearance requirements 

– Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or relevant experience.

– Proficiency in electrical engineering using 3D software such as CREO or NX.

– Knowledge of drawing standards like BS8888 and geometric tolerances.

– Ability to design components and systems for new products and ongoing development.

– Strong problem-solving skills and competence in Microsoft products like Excel, Word, and Project.

– It is desirable to have an understanding of the basic requirements specified in Def Stan 61-5 Part 6 (Nominal 12V and 24V DC Electrical Systems in Military Platforms) and Def Stan 59-411 (Electromagnetic Compatibility).

– It is desirable to have experience of the E3 electrical design package.
