Are you a Purchasing Manager who thrives on complexity, precision, and making things happen?
If you’re used to working in Aerospace, Aviation, or high-value, low-volume engineering and assembly, this is your chance to take ownership of a key function in a highly respected, engineering-led business.
This company designs and builds niche power plants for critical applications – and you’ll be right at the heart of ensuring every component arrives on time, at the right price, and from the right supplier. Every purchasing decision goes through you – so this is a role with real visibility, responsibility, and impact.
What You’ll Do
Lead and implement strategic sourcing plans to keep projects on time and on cost.
Build and manage strong supplier relationships – you’ll be the bridge between supply chain, engineering, and production.
Take full control of Purchase Orders, schedules, and variance management.
Drive stakeholder reviews, track actions, and deliver results.
Partner with engineering teams to quickly translate new requirements into practical supply chain solutions.
Oversee BOM configuration and control.
Anticipate and mitigate supply chain risks before they become issues.
Benchmark and develop alternative sources of supply to maintain resilience and competitiveness.
Support change management and transfer programmes across the business.
What You’ll Bring Proven experience in purchasing within aerospace, aviation, or high-value engineered assemblies
Strong background in low-volume, high-value commodities.
Hands-on experience using MRP systems.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel).
A calm head under pressure – able to juggle priorities and hit tight deadlines.
Analytical mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder skills.
A proactive, independent approach – someone who spots problems early and takes action fast.
This is a rare opportunity to join a stable, profitable, and forward-thinking engineering business where your decisions genuinely shape success. If you’re ready to take full ownership of purchasing for a specialist operation and work with some of the best in the industry – we’d love to hear from you.
