CNC Lathe Programmer to join a machining company based in Telford. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming machines from drawings, setting, and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality components for a range of industries. Competitive hourly rate available with a growing business with strong future prospects.
Main Duties:
- Program, set and operate CNC lathes (Fanuc /Siemens /Mazatrol – depending on machines used)
- Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering instructions
- Work with a variety of metals and materials
- Carry out first-off inspections and use measuring equipment to check first offs and periodic monitoring
- Adjust tooling, offsets and machine settings to optimise production efficiency
- Responsible for proper operation of machines and tool / jig fixing
- Work as part of a team to support a busy production area
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operator
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (Fanuc, Siemens or Mazatrol desirable)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and programming from drawings
Current or recent experience as lathe programmer, CNC programmer, programmer turner, CNC Machinist

- Day shift and early finish Friday – no weekends / there is another shift available working 4 x 10 hours Mon – Thurs (4 day weekend every week)
