The Role
As a Resident Engineer, you’ll be the on-site technical lead, ensuring specialist test equipment is operating at its best. You’ll carry out fault diagnosis, repairs, calibration, and system support while keeping downtime to a minimum.
- Diagnose and repair test equipment faults on-site
- Support commissioning and ongoing operation of test systems
- Produce calibration records, technical reports, and risk assessments
- Log and escalate issues using specialist software tools
- Represent the company professionally, building strong customer relationships
About You
- HND or higher in mechatronics, automotive, or electrical engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- PLC knowledge advantageous
- Able to work independently under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, team player, flexible approach
- Full UK driving licence
