ELECTRO-MECHANICAL FITTER NEEDED IN SMETHWICK, WEST MIDLANDS!!
We are looking for an Electro-Mechanical Fitter to join a leading Automotive business based in Smethwick, West Midlands, this role will be working day shifts Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) and the role comes with a competitive salary that can be discussed at the application stage.
This is a hands-on, varied role where the successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, rebuilding, and testing a wide range of mechanical and electronic diesel fuel injection systems – from the latest common rail technology to vintage inline pumps from the 1960s.
No two days are the same, so we’re looking for someone with a passion for quality, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
The hiring manager is looking for someone who has a good amount of experience with diesel fuel injection technologies, and a knowledge of Bosch, Delphi, Denso, Continental or Stanadyne systems.
We are looking for someone who has both mechanical and electrical experience.
What You Will Do:
- Diagnose faults and identify effective repair solutions for a variety of diesel fuel injection systems.
- Repair and rebuild pumps and injectors to original equipment (OE) standards.
- Test and calibrate components to meet OE specifications.
- Maintain high standards of quality while meeting deadlines.
- Keep accurate records and adhere to health and safety procedures.
- Drive continuous process improvements within the workshop environment.
What You Will Bring:
- Solid experience working with major diesel fuel injection technologies.
- Knowledge of systems from Bosch, Delphi, Denso, Continental, and Stanadyne.
- Strong diagnostic, testing, and data interpretation skills.
- A proactive work ethic and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for delivering high-quality work with attention to detail.
