What You Will Do:
– Provide first-line IT support by answering Service Desk calls and monitoring the Service Desk mailbox.
– Resolve incidents and service requests or escalate them when necessary.
– Keep users informed about the progress of their issues and maintain accurate records of all actions taken.
– Monitor email flow and use event monitoring tools to ensure smooth network and server operations.
– Notify users about planned outages and ensure excellent communication during incident resolution.
– Manage and maintain stocks of IT peripherals and consumables.
What You Will Bring:
– A good understanding of IT systems and a genuine interest in technology.
– Excellent customer service skills with a professional and confident manner.
– Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to tasks.
– Competence in using Windows, Microsoft Office, and basic hardware troubleshooting.
– A positive attitude towards learning and development, supported by GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
