Materials Handling Technician – 0986 – £17.87/hr PAYE

What You Will Do:
– Inspect vehicle parts to ensure they meet technical drawings and quality standards.
– Use handheld measuring tools, such as verniers and calipers, with accuracy.
– Manage receipt and dispatch of goods, including unloading and booking test parts.
– Liaise with internal teams to communicate the arrival of test parts and ensure smooth operations.
– Maintain stock control using company databases and ensure test parts are readily available for use.
– Support health and safety initiatives and work collaboratively to improve efficiency.
What You Will Bring:
– A practical background, ideally with experience in the motor trade, technician roles, or a stores/goods environment.
– A current full UK driving licence and a willingness to learn new skills, such as forklift truck operation.
– Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload.
– Proficiency in PC packages and a willingness to learn bespoke computer systems.
– A team-oriented attitude with a proactive and solution-focused approach.

Location:
This role is based in Cranfield, offering a convenient location with excellent facilities and a vibrant work environment.
Working Pattern – 5 days a week in the office- normal hours are (8:00-17:00 Mon-Thu & 8:00-13:20 Fri) this is non-negotiable with the department.
