Food Innovation Technician – Food/Chocolate – Bournville, Birmingham – Up to £19.81/hr – Inside IR35

As a Plant/Lab Technician, you’ll play a vital role in producing high-quality samples for groundbreaking food projects. If you’re eager to learn, thrive in a hands-on environment, and are motivated to deliver excellence, this opportunity is tailor-made for you.
What You Will Do:
- Operate Pilot Plant equipment to produce samples based on detailed instructions from the Cocoa Ingredients Team Scientists.
- Roast cocoa beans, create cocoa liquor, and craft chocolate using the liquor.
- Collect, organise, and manage key project data, including processing, analytical, and consumer science data.
- Quickly adapt to using new equipment and processes to meet project requirements.
- Ensure that all tasks are completed with precision and attention to detail.
What You Will Bring:
- Previous experience using manufacturing equipment, ideally within a food manufacturing or catering environment.
- A practical mindset with the ability to quickly learn and operate new equipment.
- Keen attention to detail and a strong sense of initiative.
- A self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently without supervision.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality results in every task.
