Controls Engineer – Coventry (Hybrid) – Up to £45,000 per annum plus excellent benefits – Permanent

What You Will Do:
- Support the process for powertrain control requirements development.
- Design, simulate, implement, debug, test, and research control and estimation algorithms for various systems within powertrain systems.
- Engage with suppliers and other stakeholders to review hardware and software attributes.
- Develop energy management/torque management Software and Controls for electric/hybrid/ICE powertrains.
- Work closely with other team members and customers to deliver controls and powertrain engineering projects according to the plan.
- Utilise automotive engineering knowledge/experience in design and validation for electrified powertrain systems.
What You Could Bring:
- An Engineering/Science Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
- Automotive engineering knowledge/experience in design and validation for electrified powertrain systems.
- Experience in automotive control systems software development, data logging, and calibration tools.
- A working knowledge of vehicle architectures, communication protocols CANFD, FlexRay and Automotive Ethernet.
- Experience with Vector (e.g., CANalyzer, CANape) and Mathworks tools (e.g. Matlab/Simulink) or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a willingness and ability to work constructively with a global team.
- A valid driving license for the UK.
