Automotive Test Durability Programme Leader – 39951 / 35932576 – £33.88/hr umbrella rate
Do you have Automotive Test experience and are you ready for a new challenge? This is your chance to become part of a prestigious project, working as a Automotive Test Durability Programme Leader / Durability and Robustness Programme Leader, where your role is will be to ensure all customer expectations for Durability & Robustness are met with appropriate target setting, design development and completion of whole vehicle verification activities using both virtual and physical test methods.
What You Will Do:
- Support delivery of all Attribute Requirement targets by Gateway
- Support the Programme Attribute Team to ensure all technical issues are identified and resolved
- Provide detailed strategy & delivery planning for the attribute covering CAE, Road Load Data, Vehicle and System rig tests & driven vehicle DV activities
- Working with system and component areas to define and maintain cascaded target requirements in support of overall vehicle level target
- Work with component engineers and suppliers as required to drive resolution of engineering issues
- Deliver technical recommendations and test and issue status reports
- Work on tasks to ensure all lessons learnt from the current vehicle are captured and fed back to the Programme Attribute Team and progressed as necessary
What You Will Bring:
- Knowledge / experience of Engineering Test activities
- Knowledge / experience of automotive technologies or systems
- Project Management experience
- Broad knowledge of vehicle technologies
- Understanding of Durability & Strength principles
- Project management of complex engineering test activities
- Experience of problem-solving including application of Root Cause Analysis, 8D, DoE etc.
- Understanding of Systems, Engineering Principles and delivery
- Microsoft package elements Power Point and Excel
Desirable Attributes:
- Knowledge / experience of AGILE working principles
- Working knowledge CAD visualisation systems (e.g. 3Dx, TeamCentre etc.)
- Knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and cross functional experience
- Relevant Degree or equivalent experience preferred
