As a Senior Project Manager, you will manage exciting complex de-carbonisation projects that are impactful, fulfilling and often have a positive societal impact.

The role of a Senior Project Manager is critical to the success of the organisations strategic programmes and as such you will be required to:

  • Managing R&D Innovation related projects
  • Support clients in the realisation and delivery of their innovative ideas 
  • Resolve key issues and concerns related to bottlenecks and project slippage to ensure gateways, timing plans and budgets are adhered to and delivered against
  • Manage fast-paced and innovative projects from initial concept being adept at dealing with technical requirements while managing expectations

Overview:

We are currently recruiting for a team of experienced Process Technicians to work for our client at their facility in Bicester, Oxfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved with the development of a fossil free synthetic fuel.

The role will be working across a “4 on 4 off” shift consisting of days and nights, and will be responsible for operating test rigs, conducting analysis of manufacturing process and data. This would suit someone who has a proven track record across the chemical, petrochemical and/or oil & gas industries and operating high temperature laboratory equipment or test rigs.

The role:

  • The Process Technicians will have day-to-day responsibilities of:
  • Monitor the continuous running and test and development equipment and report and inconsistencies to the shift supervisor.
  • Follow test and development equipment operating procedures
  • Implement operations and maintenance procedures, policies and safe working practices for your areas of responsibility.
  • Have a clear understanding of P&ID drawings & procedures.
  • Ensure a clear and concise shift change handover.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement processes.
  • Perform repair and maintenance tasks on process equipment used to develop synthetic fuels
  • The role requires close attention to detail, looking a data trends of process plant and other test laboratory equipment.

Person Specification:

  • Familiar with operating test rig software
  • Operating high temperature process equipment
  • To be able to read and work from P&ID diagrams
  • To be able to work from engineering drawings
  • Experience in monitoring real-time data
  • Apprentice trained to ONC/HNC NVQ or C&G level 3
  • Experience within in Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industries
  • Able to work 4 on 4 off shifts of days and nights

Contract Panel Wirer required to join a busy electrical equipment manufacturer in Telford.

Due to continued demand they are seeking a skilled Panel Wirer with the ability to understand electrical drawings to wire their range of equipment. 

Working Days Monday – Friday with early finish on Friday

You will be working as Panel Wirer at a Telford based workshop carrying out the following duties:

  • Working to drawings and following work instructions as prepared by applications team
  • Correctly interpreting drawings and ensuring that the correct components are available
  • Wiring back plates to a high standard ensuring consistency in how looms are prepared and installed
  • Liaising with engineering dept regarding any build issues
  • Supporting test and inspection of panels

Ideally we are looking for the following panel wiring experience:

  • Preparation and assembly of wiring looms
  • Control panel wiring, machine panel wiring or switchgear wiring, Electrical Fitter
  • Electrical installation industrial installation
  • Copper work and installation advantageous
  • Electrical qualifications advantageous

The Return

As a Modelling and Simulation Engineer, you will support the DES model generation from concept modelling to fully detailed mimic of the programme and system that meet the design scope, operating principals, performance metrics, safety, quality, delivery, cost, people and environment objectives are met. You will also support the system optimisation, cost avoidance, best practices capturing and sharing this with relevant stakeholders.

In your first week in this Modelling and Simulation Engineer role, you can expect to:

  • Support the DES model generation from concept modelling to a fully detailed mimic of the programme/system that meet the design scope, operating principals, performance metrics, safety, quality, delivery, cost, people and environment objectives are met
  • Work effectively with design teams to develop and optimise solutions considering multi-attributes within defined deadlines and time constraints
  • Guide the process using a product knowledge and awareness of potential design constraints to ensure due consideration is given in developing solutions
  • Coordinate projects and teams feedback of results as required through design/project reviews/DES Dashboards.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Demonstrable working knowledge and experience of 'Witness' or 'Plant Simulation' Discrete Event Simulation toolsets
  • Demonstrable previous experience of bottleneck analysis using Discrete Event Simulation.
  • A good communicator who can communicate complex ideas
  • Previous experience and background in production process flow simulation, problem solving on complex technical systems.
  • Experience in production sites
  • An effective team player, actively leads, develops and supports team members
  • High levels of personal resilience, integrity and honesty as well as large amounts of humility for the team.
  • An individual who enables speed in decision making through establishing alignment, clarity, appropriate resources and sense of urgency whilst bringing others along

Preferred:

  • Experience in automotive production.
  • Experience working practices of programme integration and new programmes in automotive engineering.

Main Purpose of the Role

To maintain the general upkeep of the building and site. The Facilities engineer will be responsible for overall plant performance and ensure not only operational, but business critical functions will be maintained.  The Facilities engineer will work closely with the Engineering Coordinator and a wide range of people due to the nature of their work. The working shift will be 5 from 7 with a flexible approach to meet business needs. To assist and carry out preventative maintenance and repair on the packhouse machinery when required.

 

Key Skills

 

Experience of Pneumatic process control circuits and compressed air systems with the ability to read schematic drawings

A minimum level of GCSE or NVQ level 2 with experience gained in a dynamic environment where response and equipment turnaround times are critical.

Mechanical transmissions and electrical drives and associated control gear.

Methodical fault diagnosis and root cause analysis.

Electrical experience

Refrigeration plant and control systems experience.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who can keep pace with the business and think on their feet.

 

The hours you would work:

 

A variable shift pattern equating to 80 hours per 2-week period, including weekend work.

This is a days based role, hours are normally 07.00 > 16.00 or 08.00 > 17.00. (We are able to offer some flexibility on this)

The role is a 5 from 7 pattern meaning that alternate weekends are required.

Up to £33,000 plus overtime rate is T + ¼, the basic rate is around £33k per annum + OT
