JOB PURPOSE: REPORTING TO:
To develop and improve the way in which our client purchases Indirect goods and services. Purchasing Supervisor e To negotiate costs and other terms effectively in line with department objectives, procedures and company direction.
DEPARTMENT:
To identify, recommend and implement cost reduction opportunities. Purchasing e Agree standards and KPI's with supplier in line with stakeholders, with agreed monitors and escalation routes. Control ordering process for Stores.
MAJOR TASKS:
- To be responsible for negotiating the lowest total acquisition costs for indirect goods and services whilst maintaining agreed levels of quality, delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
- To assist department staff in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
- To identify and recommend suppliers for new / existing requirements in order to meet cost reduction targets and remove consistently poor performing suppliers.
- To monitor commodity market trends in order to provide the base information required too conduct effective strategic supplier negotiations.
- To assist in the drafting of purchasing contracts between new / existing suppliers for consideration and approval.
- To control and improve ordering process for stores.
- To co-ordinate and manage effectively the release, progressing and replies to quotations with - recommendations and proposals.
GENERAL TASKS:
- Manage implement projects via the use of SMART targets to pre-agreed budgets and time-plans.
- Enforce Health & Safety as it applies to the Company's operations.
- Support and liase with the departmental Manager on personnel issues with respect to conditions of service, rate of pay, appointments and terminations according to our current Company handbook and relevant policy.
- To be accountable for the departments use and maintenance of all plant, building and equipment.
- To assist with the departments training in the broadest terms.
- Ensure the company's disciplinary and working procedures are adhered to as stated in our Company's manuals, policies, contracts and handbook, compliance with SOX and other international standards.
- To assist in the development of a continuous improvement and co-ordination in the department
- To be responsible for the security of the department's area.
Hours: Mon - Thurs 8am - 17:15am, Friday 8am - 12pm
Salary: £38,000 - £40,000

Position Description:
A Senior IDT Programme Manager and integral member of the IDT Transformation office team, responsible for managing and monitoring complex transformation programmes in a large portfolio containing over 500 initiatives, with a strategic mindset and ability to challenge priorities, design and implement effective programme governance and bring best-in-class methods and techniques to guarantee delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Leading the transition from a traditional project management based approaches to a new product-led operating model where the teams are entrusted to resolve customer-centric problems via Lean and Agile practices.
- Implementing end of end lifecycle management for programmes and products and building a Value Management Office for the IDT organisation whilst working closely with the new formed Enterprise Value Office.
- Maintain a strategic view over the transformation portfolio, reviewing and developing the framework for implementing cost effective and value driven portfolio epics of the large-scale change, by conceiving, maintaining and communicating a vision of the outcome of the Digital strategy.
- Planning ahead will be critical so the Digital Transformation office has a cohesive and consolidated view of next priorities, with a mid/longer-term vision.

Position Description:
The Trading Division Imports function enables the business to import Chinese & Indian produced components for use in the UK and European manufacturing facilities.
As an Imports Outbound Analyst, you’ll be the daily point of contact for the manufacturing plants, ensuring all plant deliverables are managed and parts are shipped on time, in full and within targets.
The role will also involve supporting the contract management of service providers. This is a customer-facing role primarily responsible for managing the relationship with TD Imports customers. The outbound team oversees the operations process and is critical to facilitating a seamless handoff of customer demand through the E2E process as enabler to an efficient outbound process through accurate control and data alignment. The positions requires knowledge of both inbound, outbound, customer and central TD processes and a large degree of interaction with all teams in both daily operations.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Complete shipping and SAP tasks required to achieve 100% on time and in full delivery of parts supply to all 12 UK & EU customers.
- Ensure accuracy and adherence to schedule releases, shipping and export standards Monitor/ Control and Reporting of parts stocks and shipping status in line with Schedule parameters - Time and Quality and escalate issues transparently where appropriate
- Work on the Pre-production volume requirements and parts run-outs, including management of New Parts for Model Year and Running Change requirements
- Work closely with 3PL to resolve any supply issues Help resolve any change requests required to SAP systems to optimise the processes
- Maintain contact with customers and freight forwarders, optimising trailer utilisation and monitoring dock adherence
- Resolve SAP IDOCs failures related to Operations issues
- Support the Outbound premium freight process Liaison with cross-functional teams to ensure the stock levels are maintained at the correct level to maintain production when parts issues are identified
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Strong analytical and MS Excel Skills
- Ability to quickly understand and challenge Logistics processes
- Previous experience in Material Planning / Logistics, preferably from within Motor Manufacturing / FMCG or Supply Base Industry
- Experience of Customer Relationship Management
- Good problem solving techniques and understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- Good analytical skills in data control and understanding of production processes
- An individual who is results driven with the ability to deliver operational plans in a highly demanding environment
- An individual with the ability to prioritise their work load
- A good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas
- An effective team player who supports team members
- Ability to quickly understand and challenge Logistics processes
- ERP Systems knowledge (SAP / CMMS3 / other)
