Northampton

Northampton; the county town of Northamptonshire, lies on the River Nene in the East Midlands, 60 miles north-west of London and 45 miles south-east of Birmingham. During the Middle Ages, the town rose to national significance with the establishment of Northampton Castle, which was a royal residence and regularly hosted the Parliament of England.

In 1968 Northampton was designated a ‘new town,’ which accelerated development in the town. Since then, the town has continued to expand, with many areas undergoing urban renewal.

In Northampton you’ll find a rich and varied history with fantastic heritage. There's great culture, theatre of West End quality, a marina and waterside and acres of beautiful parks and countryside to explore and enjoy.
