A Weights and Mass Properties Engineer is required to work within Weight Engineering, this represents an ideal opportunity to guide and influence the business in delivering all carlines to achieve a highly competitive offering to our customers.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Lead bench marking activities relating to vehicle mass properties
  • Lead process improvements pertaining to generation of vehicle mass properties predictions
  • Coordinate the management of mass properties data across the business
  • Conduct correlation of vehicle mass properties predictions versus measured data
  • Understand and advise on key interactions between customers of mass properties data
  • Provide a focal point for technical excellence in subject matter
  • Develop decomposition of vehicle mass targets to control mass properties deliverables
  • Ensure consistent and accurate data reporting to the business
  • Attend Engineering meetings as required to support the Technical Specialist
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time

Skills Required:


  1. Mass properties data management and analysis skills with ability to prioritise own and others time and work load
  2. Deliver under pressure and challenging deadlines
  3. Good presentation and communication skills

Experience Required:
Experience of mass properties data handling and analysis Whole vehicle engineering knowledge & cross functional experience
Self-motivated, uses initiative and problem solver focussed on delivering results
Able to deliver quality and consistency in a complex, highly demanding environment
