Warehouse Operations Manager

Turning over approximately £75million in the UK and part of a world-famous brand with a combined group turnover of over £1.2billion, this really is an opportunity not to be missed!

We are now looking for an exceptional Warehouse Operations Manager on a Permanent basis to join this expanding market leader. Overseeing two excellent hands on and competent Warehouse Supervisors, who manage the day to day man management, training levels, output and daily requirements

The new Warehouse Operations Manager reporting the Head of Operations, will have a solid warehouse experience and skills as a foundation, but will be required to work at a higher level. The successful candidate will take a strategic view of the Warehouse

About the role

  • Support all process standardisation, development and improvement activities through the team
  • Manage relevant KPI as required by the business including supporting of operational On Time delivery, Arrears Reduction and Inventory Targets
  • Manage the team to ensure continuous production to plan with managed escalation/support
  • Quality: Ensure built in quality throughout the warehouse and stores process
  • Implement continuous change and housekeeping activities in line with the Production System

About you

  • Tier 1 Automotive or Aerospace Warehouse Manufacturing Operations experience - essential
  • You must have a strong demonstrated understanding of Warehouse/stores operations and lean manufacturing across low to medium volume environments
  • Excellent PC skills especially excel
  • Good/ demonstrated man management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Highly committed and self-motivated
  • Strong accountability with a "can do" approach
  • Willingness to support changes in hours/role as required by the business

Able to demonstrate

  • Development training methodology,
  • Improvement to logistical processes,
  • Layout changes for best flow and practice,
  • Cost reduction,
  • Overall head efficiency improvement
  • Ideally can demonstrated lean/sixth sigma experience in a warehouse environment
